This is the perfect dish to make your French Cassoulet. Cassoulet is a rich slow cooked (cooked in the oven) casserole originating from Southern France. It is a traditional round cooking vessel made from Earthenware with slanted sides. In this you can make Duck, Pork or maybe Goose Cassoulet, or even Beef bourguignon. Country pottery that is functional yet contemporary.

This dish is hand thrown by Paul Jessop here at Barrington Pottery in Somerset, what a lovely statement piece at a dinner party or family get together.
